Mono visually represents the transient nature of social media trends, where each trend is akin to a passing star in the vast cosmos of the internet. It obtains every daily top trend of 2023 from Twitter, and displays them anonymously in this cosmic model. The only noticeable presence of the trends is the small letters underneath the model, printed out chronologically. All these activities are reduced into a title and numbers. Visitors can enter a four-digit sequence on the panel to look up the corresponding data of that day. In the digital age, social media platforms have become a constant source of information — yet, just like noise in the background, these trends emerge abruptly, capture our attention for a brief moment, and then fade away into obscurity.
